We have a subscription license to the New York Times available to faculty, staff, and students affiliated with LSC-University Park.

To access:

The first time you access it, you need to set up your account via the library link. Create an account using your Lone Star email. (Students: username@my.lonestar.edu; Employees: Name.Name@lonestar.edu)

Once you've done that, you can go to the regular NYTimes.com, sign in to your account, and enjoy unlimited access to their content. You can also access content through their mobile app in the same way.

Site passes expire after 365 days. If you are still affiliated with us at that point, just repeat the process above to renew your account.

NY Times articles can also be searched and read via the database US Major Dailies.

Pros: database-style advanced search.
Cons: not the browse-friendly interface of the NYT site.

Faculty: New York Times in Education, which gathers faculty-submitted suggestions for integrating the NY Times into your class, is part of this subscription! You'll have to register an account separately from your NYT access account described above.
