What you're thinking of as "the library" is actually the Student Learning Resource Center, which also includes the Tutoring Center, Writing Lab, and Assistive Technology Lab.

At the library you can:

  • Check out reserve items from the front desk
  • Have your student ID made
  • Use the computers
  • Print, scan, and copy
  • Reserve a study room
  • Consult a librarian for help with citations and research
  • Attend bimonthly TED Talk discussions or participate in other events

At the Tutoring Center you can:

  • Get help understanding course material for math, economics, accounting, physics, biology, A&P
  • Get help preparing for placement or other standardized tests (TSI, GRE, etc)

At the Writing & Reading Hotspot you can:

  • Improve your written assignments (e.g. hone your thesis, organize your paper better)
  • Learn how to become a better self-editor
  • Attend Grammar Crammer sessions for reviews of writing rules or ask your own questions
  • Practice your English verbal skills at Talk Time

At the Assistive Technology Lab you can:*

*with an accommodations form from the Counseling Office

  • Arrange to have a scribe come to your classes to take notes
  • Check out a LiveScribe pen
  • Have your textbook converted into a screenreader-friendly format
