We prefer "academic coaching" over "tutoring" because it provides a more accurate perspective of what we do. Like a coach, we help you plan, guide you, and sometimes even inspire you to create your own content and become a better self-editor. Unlike traditional tutoring, which focuses on one-time sessions based around individual assignments, academic coaching focuses on long-term strategies and plans that you can use for both your current and future assignments.

If you're looking for information on academic advising (i.e. registering/dropping classes, degree plans, etc), find more on the Advising page of the LSC site.
