Word

Word defaults to printing 1 page per sheet. When you go into the Print menu, look for the setting where it says that ("1 page per sheet") and change it to 2 pages per sheet.

PowerPoint

PowerPoint defaults to printing "full page slides" (1 slide per sheet, in other words). In the Print menu, look for where it says "full page slides." Click that menu, then select the 2 slide handout option.

Webpages

The print settings in the browser will also offer a "pages per sheet" option. Webpages print funky, though, so be sure to play with the other options about printing headers or backgrounds and scaling.

There are browser extensions (like Print Friendly) that let you have more granular control over what prints, so you can get rid of decorative images or webpage headers or footers to cut down on how much is trying to print.
