Yes, technically: we are an open campus, and community members are welcome to visit.

When you first come to the library, you will need to visit the front desk if you want to use our computers or print system in order to have a guest account created. You can also log in to the computers with your HCPL library account. These logins will allow you usage of our open lab computers, on which you can access our research databases; however, you will not be able to access those databases from off-campus without being affiliated with the school (employee, student, or ALL/CE student).

Note:

  • We are a digital library here at LSC-University Park, so you won't find shelves to browse while you're here! Everything is online.
  • Since our primary audience is adult students, there aren't content filters on our computers. If you're bringing a child to the library, you may need to supervise their internet use accordingly.
  • We aren't intended to be a professional coworking space. Per LSC Library policy, "Use of System e-mail or other network resources for commercial purposes or for personal financial gain" is prohibited.
