Check your enrollment info to see what room has been assigned for your class.
- myLoneStar student portal - enrollments
- D2L (the class portal) should have your class syllabus, which will have course info, including room location, on the first page.
Most classes are held in Building 12 or 13: these buildings are attached to each other at the elevator lobby! As you walk out of an elevator, 12 is to your right and 13 to your left.
The first number in the second half of the location tells you what floor the class is on. Then just look for the room number.
If your classroom doesn't follow that format, or the building is named something other than Building 12/13, CSI, CB, or EMI ... you should double-check which campus your class is actually at. (You can quickly check your section number, i.e. the 6001 part of "ENGL 1301.6001." If it doesn't start with a 6, you're at the wrong campus!)
I know where my class usually meets, but they aren't in there.
- First, check for any signs on the door. (Of course you did. Just wanted to be thorough!)
- Then, check your (myLoneStar) email for any last-minute cancellation notices.
- Check D2L for any announcements.
- (This a good time to text a classmate or two, if you can.)
- Check your class schedule in D2L -- either recent announcements or the content modules or the syllabus, etc -- to see if the class is scheduled to be elsewhere, like in the library, that day.
- Finally, head over to the department offices for the course's division to see if the division staff know anything about where the class is.
- Division 1 (languages, arts, humanities): Building 12, 1st floor
- Division 2 (math, science): CSI, 2nd floor
- Division 3 (workforce, business): EMI, 1st floor
- Division 4 (social sciences, speech): Building 12, 6th floor
