The instruction lab in the library (12.835) is primarily used for the librarians to instruct pre-scheduled classes in research skills. When it is not being used by a class, it is an additional computer lab space for students to use. If you have already brought your class in for library instruction in a semester, you may request a follow-up workday in the lab for your class. The number of workdays available depends on other instruction requests and how busy the main lab is.
If you just need computer space for your students and have not previously worked with the librarians, we invite you to book a computer classroom elsewhere in the building using the R25 system.
Due to our space requirements and high volume of instruction requests, faculty are not allowed to bring their classes into this lab on a walk-in basis.
